Mindsets are a very interesting and powerful concept, and have a huge impact in the classroom and community. There are two types: fixed mindset and growth mindset. People with fixed mindsets are less concerned with learning and putting in effort and are more concerned with the grades that they receive. Conversely, people with growth mindsets are more focused on learning and what they can do to improve themselves. It is my belief that if my students and I utilize a growth mindset in our classroom, we will achieve academic and personal growth.
According to the website Mindset Works, students who received growth mindset training significantly increased their math and verbal achievement test scores! Below is the link to the website if you would like to check it out!
